Selenium-rich Tea

Leigong Shan tea plantations are mainly located in the hinterland of Leigong Mountain, which is not only a national nature reserve and a national forest park, but also called "the best-preserved ecological and cultural land of mankind today" by UNESCO, with an altitude of 1300~1400 meters, and is a typical high mountain tea plantation. Leigong Mountain has loose soil, fertile soil, cloudy, diffuse light, abundant rainfall, fresh air, and rich tea endowment. In particular, the tea contains selenium as high as 2.00~2.02 micrograms/gram, which is 15 times of the average selenium content of general tea.

The Leigong Shan tea growing in Leigongshan Mountain is the rising star among green teas, especially the Qingming tea, which is selected from the overwintering buds formed in autumn and developed around Qingming, making the tea leaves mellow and sweet.

How to brew

Brewing is best done in straight glass cups, white porcelain covered bowls, and can be slightly smothered with a lid. The water temperature is about 80℃, no need to wash the tea, brew for 1 minute. After brewing, the aroma is clear and elegant, and the tea broth is thick, slightly bitter but not astringent, smooth and mellow, with rapid sweetness and long-lasting dispersion.
