The Source of Japanese Tea Seeds

Jingshan tea is a roasted green tea, named for its origin. Jingshan tea is not only a traditional famous tea in China, but also a big name in Japan, and has even had an irreplaceable and profound influence on the Japanese tea ceremony. The "Tea Picking Song of Jingshan" written by Jin Yu in the Qing Dynasty in China has also become a widely circulated tea poem.

According to the Japanese 18th century important encyclopedia "Classes and Names", the Japanese monk Nanpu Shaoming introduced the tea of Jingshan to Japan in 1259. Nowadays, many famous teas in Japan are made from the same species of tea. Because of the unique flavor and fragrance of the tea, the tea is very much in line with the Japanese tea ceremony, which later established the idea of "clear, quiet, peace and silence", and therefore has a good reputation in Japan.
